Integrative Counsellor in Nottingham and Online

About Catharine

I have always been fascinated by people (right from my school days!): what makes us who we are, what has shaped us, and how some of our experiences and learned behaviour can potentially limit us in later life.

I started my career in HR, before moving into organisational development, driven by a curiosity about what really helps people thrive—not just perform. Over time, I saw that most of us are looking for the same things at work: connection, purpose, and the freedom to be ourselves.

My corporate background gave me a real understanding of the pressures people face in their careers—and how easily those challenges spill into the rest of life (and vice versa). As a leader, I have always adopted a coaching style: listening deeply, supporting others, and creating space for people to show up as they are. I saw how powerful it can be when someone feels genuinely seen and supported, especially during difficult times.

That’s what led me to train in counselling and psychotherapy—so I could support people not just in their work, but as whole individuals navigating some of the challenges of life.

Whatever it is that has brought you to my website, I hope that you find the information you need to make the right next step for you.
